Sarah from C/O Creative has worked in the marketing, publishing, and design sector for 10+ years, developing successful marketing strategies and brand experiences. She understands the fundamentals of a brand that can stand the test of time. Your business should convey an emotion/feeling of that unique brand identity your customers will recognize time and time again, which also clearly stands out from the competition. With strategy-backed research and expertise, Sarah (among other experts in the NC area) will provide a professional experience with your specific business goals in mind.

Branding is the sum of all parts that make up the services or activities of a company, both in a practical and emotional way. Your business’ brand identity conveys the tone of your business visually and usually includes elements like colors, fonts, logos, and more. This affects the popularity of your product or services, and can also impact the loyalty of your customers as your business moves forward. It helps drive a lot of future business decisions for the look and feel of your marketing materials—from your website design, to print and digital collateral as well. When done successfully, a cohesive brand identity will be clearly identified and recognizable by one or two of the pieces along with collectively.

A professional-looking logo is important because it establishes your business as a thoughtful, professional service, and builds trust amongst your current and potential customers/clients. With a great logo, comes brand recognition, which means more repeat business and a way for others to easily spread the word.
Scalable means it’s a vector file, and not just made in Canva. ;) It ensures that any size you make your logo will be crisp, clean and give you more flexibility and freedom to make your brand your OWN.

Our brand foundations workshop will guide you to create a simple but significant logo for your business. While we feel that a full brand identity cannot be accomplished in a day, you’re more than welcome to ask questions on the next steps after we identify your brand moodboard, select fonts that fit your brand best, and provide you with a starting point to promote your product or services!

Absolutely! While we believe a strong brand identity is the best jumping off point to build your marketing and website materials, you can definitely start simple! We’ll guide you in our Website Wonders workshop on how to select fonts that speak to your brand, without having a full logo suite.

We build most of our websites in Squarespace and Shopify, the leading modern drag-and-drop interface and eCommerce platform. With expertise in custom development (CSS/HTML/Java), a Squarespace Circle Member, and Shopify Partner, we provide even further access and perks to you if you partner and launch your website with us.
At this workshop, we’ll also be talking through platforms specifically for photographers, Etsy, and other custom templates we believe are the perfect starting point for creative businesses.
